Our Effortless entertaining service gives you an option to have choices from our heat-and-serve meals, shared style catering and canape menus, delivered to your home or chosen venue. Depending on the style of event, we will provide simple heating instructions, to make you look like the Super chef!
For our corporate clients, and those wanting light servings for daytime events, we can provide gourmet wraps, rolls, sandwiches, hot food, and cold finger foods along with beverage options.
Meet Chef Etienne Karner
Grown up in Germany with a French mother, Etienne found his way into the culinary world through the only 5-star hotel in his hometown, Marburg. After a successful apprenticeship, he decided to go abroad to explore new cultures and cuisines.
Starting at Grand-Hotel du Cap Ferrat and then Hotel Scribe in France where he worked in their 2 Michelin star restaurant – Les Muses under Chef Yannick Alleno, Etienne developed a passion and dedication for ingredients and techniques, that went on to build a strong foundation for his career. Etienne’s flair for cooking and adventurous nature took him next to the Americas at the Four Seasons Hotel in Chicago where he worked at their award-winning fine dining restaurant. From there, he went on to work with the Four Seasons hotels in the Caribbean and Ireland as well.
Etienne spread his wings further into the Middle East with a stint at the prestigious Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai, working in their world-class restaurant, Al Muntaha. During his tenure there, Etienne won several medals in culinary competitions held in London, Singapore, and Dubai.
His debut with the Hyatt group of hotels began at Grand Hyatt Goa in India, where he was part of the opening team. He then moved back to Dubai to join Park Hyatt Dubai as executive sous chef prior to taking on the Executive Chef role at the Park Hyatt Sydney where he worked for 4 years. Wanting to relocate to Brisbane thereafter, little did he know that fate had something else in store for him. He moved to the Northern Rivers instead to re-open the Byron at Byron resort after their extensive renovation.
After working in hotels for more than 20 years, Etienne now brings the best of these cultures and cuisines to your plate at Dinner is Served. By working closely with suppliers to ensure the highest quality of ingredients with a focus on fresh and seasonal produce, he is passionate about creating exceptional food experiences that will be long remembered.
